Configuring Galaxy control unit

Galaxy Dimension uses internal RS232 port to communicate with Siwenoid. Use GD editor tool to set some parameters.

In Group Mode set Enable Groups (program step:63-Options 1-1-1).

In Group Communication menu use RS232 tab to set each triggers.

In Internal RS232 menu set the communication parameters.

In Internal RS232 menu use Triggers tab to set each triggers.

SIWENOID container definition

Create a new container under root.

Set the parameters of container. Host is the device server's IP address. Port number is the device server's dedicated port for communication. PIN is the Account filed of GD editor tool (Program step: 56.6.3).

SIWENOID datapoint definition

Add a new datapoint (GROUP or ZONE) manually to the Galaxy container.

Set the Object ID field to a value that aligns the GROUP ID in editor tool (A1=1; A2=2...). Leave Group ID field (parent GROUP) empty.

In case of a ZONE, Object ID has to align the Zone Nr in GD editor tool. GROUP ID filed is the parent group.

Group and zone definition should look like the screenshot.

To make the manual definition faster, you can create a metafile of GD container. This can be edited in a text editor and then import it back to GD container.

In metafile each datapoint associates a node in the GD container. Add new line and fill up with the appropriate parameters. For proper operation datapoint definition has to align the GD control unit GROUP and ZONE structure.

Use Update from metafile menu to import back the metafile and thus fill up GD container datapoint hierarchy.

Use Update from metafile menu to import back the metafile and thus fill up GD container datapoint hierarchy.
